One of my goals this year is to reduce the amount of money we spend on groceries. Sounds easy enough right? But trying to do this, whilst also tackling the issue of losing weight is proving to be more difficult than I thought.

Eat Healthy On A Budget: The Vege Garden

Eating healthy is expensive. There's no denying that. But how can we make it more affordable? Since I am on a weight loss journey myself, and prefer to have a healthy diet anyway I thought it'd be fun to document ways to eat healthy on a budget.

The first thing we wanted to try was a vege garden. Camille has had several vege gardens in the past, but this is the first time I've ever had one myself. And I can't even begin to tell you how much it excites me!

If you've been following us for awhile now, then you may know that I have moved up north to the bach/orchard permanently. Camille is still based in Auckland for the time being and we both go to and from all the time, so really not that much has changed. Except in some ways everything has. One Less Thing: Holiday Mode & Orchard Life

It's been a long time since we did an orchard update on here, so I thought it was about time I did just that!

To be honest with you, the end of 2014 was pretty tough and we didn't manage to get nearly as much done as we'd planned. I suppose that's always the way, but it meant that while we'd planned to just stay in holiday mode over Christmas and New Years - we actually had a lot of work to do.

One Less Thing: Honey & The Orchard

One Less Thing is a new "life" segment I wanted to introduce to the blog. Basically it will follow Camille and I as we slowly make the move to self sufficiency, restore the orchard to it's former glory and eventually make the huge move to living in the Far North permanently.
