Last Minute Valentines DIY Gift Ideas

Camille and I have made a pact to try and make as many gifts as possible this year, instead of buying them all. With Valentines literally a few days away, we thought we'd share some of our last minute valentines DIY gift ideas.

Fruit Kebabs

What you need:

  • Watermelon

  • Heart-shaped cookie cutter

  • Berries

  • Bamboo skewers

I'm sure this will appeal to those of you who're on a health kick, so I just had to share this cool idea that I found floating around Pinterest.
First step is to slice the watermelon, then use the heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out little hearts of watermelon. Then it's just a matter of threading the hearts of watermelon on bamboo skewers along with some berries. So easy!

Choc-Dipped Pretzels and Wafers

What you need:

  • Wafers and/or Pretzels

  • White & Dark Chocolate

  • Sprinkles

All you do is melt the chocolate, dip the wafers and pretzels in the melted chocolate and then cover them with sprinkles before the chocolate sets. So good.

Oreo Truffles

What you need:

  • 2 packs of Oreos

  • 1 pack of Philadelphia Cream Cheese

  • Chocolate

  • Coconut, chopped nuts etc (optional)

Put all your oreos into a food processor and whizz them up until they're crumb texture. Add the cream cheese and mix well. Roll into balls, and freeze for a couple of hours.
Melt the chocolate, grab the truffles out of the freezer and cover them in the melted chocolate. Before the chocolate sets you can roll them in coconut or chopped nuts - but you don't have to, as these are just as delicious plain.

Pop your little treats in cellophane bags, and your DIY gifts are good to go. Yay!

What are you hoping to get for Valentines this year?

Thanks for viewing!
